Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she began her studies at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her first trial, she was 2nd in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for professional work with Adidas in 2003. She was then accepted into University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. She was the youngest ever world champion in the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in the Olympics and in the Olympics of Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo constantly placing within the top three places in all her events.
