Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed an early talent for athletics when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting potential at the at the time. Within a short time after her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently within the top three athletes in her respective events.
