Emma Stone

Emily Jean Stone, also known as Emma, was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988 to Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a housewife, and Jeffrey Charles Stone (CEO of a firm that contracts and was its founder and chief executive officer). Stone is of Swedish, German & British Isles descent. Stone began acting in her early years as a Valley Youth Theatre member in Phoenix, Arizona. She made her stage debut in Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows." Through her teens, Stone participated in various other productions until she decided to make acting her career. The official version of the story is that she developed an PowerPoint presentation that was backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and also titled "Project Hollywood", in an effort to convince her parents to allow her to drop out of school and move to Los Angeles. Her mother and she made the pitch, and then moved to LA. Her schooling was done at home, and she spent the time auditioning. Her TV debut in 2004, when she was cast in the role of Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality/talent show In Search of the Partridge Family. It led to many small TV performances in the years to follow. Following a string successes acting roles, her character Olive in Easy A (2010) was her debut in a film. In Phoenix, Arizona, she attended Xavier College Preparatory. While she is famous for her red hair, her real shade is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she switch her hair color to Superbad (2007) and she liked it so much that she decided to keep the color. She persuaded her parents to let her move to Hollywood when she reached the age of 15 by presenting the PowerPoint presentation appropriately titled Project Hollywood. She began her career in acting at the age of 11 age at the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, where she was a part of more than 16 stage productions as well as performing in the theatre's comedy improv troupe. Caylee Cowan was also an actor at the Valley Youth Theatre.
