Aisha Hinds is an American actor best recognized for her roles on the television series The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003, she has proven her abilities as an actress by giving stunning performances on television shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. In 2005, she gained attention in the first place for her portrayal of Anna in Assault on Precinct 13 It was however her portrayal of feminist activist Fannie Louis Hamer, in the documentary film All the Way, which earned her the respect she was due as an actor. Hind was also recognized for her performance as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's historical television drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show was renewed for the third season with 20th Century Fox Television. Hind just wrapped filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which is scheduled to be released in the middle of 2019.
