Meg Ryan

Meg Ryan, blonde-haired and blue-eyed, was born Margaret Mary Emily Hyra in Fairfield Connecticut to Susan (Duggan) who was a former actor and English teacher, as well as Harry Hyra, a maths teacher. Ruthenian as well as Polish, Irish, German and German descendents. "Hyra" is her maternal grandmother's maiden name is Ruthenian. Meg graduated from Bethel high school, Bethel in June 1979. (1988), and were married on Saint Valentine's Day 1991. In 1989, Meg appeared in When Harry Met Sally... (1989) and the scene in the restaurant was a hit. Meg was nominated for the Golden Globe as well as the BAFTA. In 1990, she co-starred with Tom Hanks in Joe Versus the Volcano (1990) and this time she played three roles as DeDe/Angelica/Patricia. She appeared again alongside Tom in the very successful Sleepless in Seattle (1993) for which she was nominated for the Golden Globe. In 1994, Meg decided to act as if she was a rebel as an alcoholic wife and mother in When a Man Loves a Woman (1994). Meg returned to her role as "cute" following the film's release with I.Q. (1994) as well as French Kiss (1996). People Magazine voted Meg as one of the top 50 most beautiful people on earth in 1994.
