Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop boy
band formed in 2009. The group is comprised of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow
as well as Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. They initially signed to Nick
Records in 2009 before moving to Columbia Records. They appeared in
Nickelodeon's telecast series, Big Time Rush. The show ran from November 28th,
2009 until July 25 the 25th of July, 2013. The pilot episode showcased the
group's first promotional single, "Big Time Rush". The band has
released three albums, including BTR in 2010 and Elevate in 2011 and 24/Seven ,
released in 2013. In 2014, the group was on break for an indefinite time that
ran until 2021. The group resumed live performances and then released
"Call it Like I See It". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush to an album
deal in 2009 along with its tv show, Big Time Rush. In the following year,
Nickelodeon partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to produce the show and
add original music to the show. The series' first single, "Big Time
Rush" came out on November 29 the 29th of November, 2009. The song was
officially released on Nickelodeon and first aired in the U.S. November 2009
and it was then broadcast globally. The show premiered in a special preview of
the show. The theme is the current theme for the show's opening. Promotional
singles were also made available by the show, including "City is
Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush
also remixed the Play song "Famous" that was written by him. The track
was released on iTunes on June 29 the 29th of June, 2010. After its series
premiere the second song, "Halfway There", was made available on
iTunes on April 27 on the 27th of April in 2010. The band soon became their
first charting track on the Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked at 93 thanks to
digital sales. In order to promote their debut album, Big Time Rush released
"Till I Forget About You" on September 21st 2010. On October 11, 2010
the album, dubbed BTR was released to the general public. The album was
released at number three on the Billboard 200. It sold the album at 67,000
copies in its first week.
